Wildlife We Remove in Fort Worth, TX

When it comes to wildlife control throughout Fort Worth, you want to work with the most effective wildlife removal service you can find. Luckily, you are in the right place with Trutech Wildlife Services.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution; each job requires a custom approach. We inspect every home and build a custom plan to resolve any wildlife problems. Our Integrated Wildlife Control programs aim to humanely remove and prevent any future intrusions. We provide full home exclusions in which we repair and restore your home from the damage caused by the animal(s).

Fort Worth might be a busy city. But it still offers wildlife plenty of habitats to call home. In addition to any available Blackland prairie or Cross Timbers habitat, the city itself provides scrappy animals with opportunities to thrive in the bustling urban and suburban settings.

As a warm climate, you are more likely to encounter wildlife issues in your home during the spring and fall month. High temperatures keep most critters out of your attic throughout the hot summers. But a mild winter means wildlife is active and ready to move in, almost any time of the year.

A home or business is no place for a critter to call home. In fact, a wildlife nuisance problem can lead to extensive property damage and health concerns for anyone in the building.

Common Nuisance Wildlife

Fort Worth Wildlife Removal Services

Trutech Wildlife Service has been helping both homeowners and commercial businesses protect property and public health from nuisance wildlife for decades. With a focus on the best customer experience possible, we work to efficiently protect properties from unwelcome wildlife.

Trutech can even protect your lawn and home from stinging insects like wasps, hornets, bees, mosquitos, and fire ants.

Here’s what to expect when working with Trutech:

Step 1: Inspection

When a Trutech technician arrives at your home, we will start by asking questions about your experience with the nuisance wildlife at hand.

Once we have a firm grasp on the issues the property owner is facing, a thorough inspection of the interior and exterior of the home begins. This includes looking at the attic, crawlspace, roof, and any possible entry points. Since each species and home is different, the length of the inspection can vary. It can take between 30 minutes to 3 hours to accurately evaluate the extent of the wildlife nuisance issue.

Step 2: The Plan

With the results of the inspection, we share our findings with you. And share how we will solve the problem for you. Although each wildlife control plan is unique to the home, it may include live trapping, direct capture, one-way doors, or deterrents.

Step 3: Get To Work

If you approve of the plan, we will set up a time to put it into place. After the animal removal has taken place, we will repair any damage caused by the critter. Additionally, we will apply sanitizing and ectoparasite agents to the affected areas. Once the plan is executed, your home will be returned to its normal condition.

Wildlife removal is just one part of the plan. Many plans include wildlife control measures to prevent any future problems. This is often completed by installing a full home exclusion. The goal is to create physical barriers to prevent animals from entering your home in the future.

A few possible exclusion techniques include gable vents, ridge vents, crawlspace vents, roof returns, and plumbing stacks. With the appropriate exclusions in place, you can rest easy knowing that a long-term solution is in place to protect your home from nuisance wildlife.

Guarantees and Warranties

Trutech offers a one-year warranty on full home exclusions. Plus, there is a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you aren’t satisfied with the initial work, Trutech will send out a service manager to inspect the work completed and make any necessary adjustments.

Common Wildlife in Fort Worth

Rodent Removal

A rodent problem (mouse or rat) can quickly get out of control and rat traps are only a temporary solution. Instead, call Trutech and let us get right to work.

An integrated trapping and exclusion strategy is essential for rodent pest control. To effectively get rid of rats or mice you need to control the population. Female rats can have six litters in one year.

The standard rodent trapping duration is normally 5-14 days. The wildlife technician will determine the best type of trap, placement of trap, and the best bait to use. The technician will repair and reinforce any potential entry points to keep rodents out. Rats leave pheromone trails that other rats can follow into your home.

Snake Control

Rattlesnakes are a common sight in Texas (over 100 species in Texas), and they may occasionally slither their way into your home.  Most snake bites happen when someone takes unnecessary or foolish risks with a snake. Snakes have an essential role in the Texas environment so please do not kill a snake.

Generally, the most harm snakes inflict is scaring someone. If there’s a snake in your house, you need to call a professional. A snake is in your home for one reason- food. If you have a snake problem, you likely have another wildlife pest problem. The wildlife technician will help remove the snake safely and help uncover any other wildlife pest infestations.

Bird Control

Birds are an important part of our natural environment and are afforded considerable protection by laws, regulations, and public sentiment. Some of the most common pest birds in Forth Worth are the pigeon, house sparrow, European starling, and blackbird.

For residential structures, the focus is more on exclusion and prevention. For commercial locations where buildings can be large, we may suggest different options due to the higher concentration of bird populations. In these cases, we may resort to installing netting, bird spikes, or optical gel.

Raccoon Removal

Raccoons in Fort Worth are nocturnal bandits that roam the neighborhoods tipping over trash cans and scattering garbage with their nimble, human-like hands. They can travel up to six miles and create multiple denning locations.

Once in your home, raccoons can shred drywall, chew through wires, scratch flooring, and use insulation to create a den. If they decide to build a den in your chimney or vents, you are at risk for fire hazards.

Humanely getting rid of the raccoon from your home involves cage traps. We follow all permitting requirements and communicate with the Texas Wildlife Department regarding their release.

Skunk Control

Even though skunks tend to not stay in one place for too long, we can remove skunks that are stuck or stubborn. We use live traps that are humane and safe and meet all Texas regulations. For example, it is illegal to relocate skunks due to the potential spreading of diseases.

Skunks in Fort Worth and everywhere react when threatened, which is typically anytime anything or person gets near them. In defense, they spray the worst smelling chemical in existence today. It is where the skunk releases its spray that makes it a nuisance. If it has taken up residence under your deck or porch, that smell could linger into your home and stay for weeks.

Skunks may break into a space underneath your home. We can fix and seal all holes and open areas to prevent future skunk visits. We also look for food and water resources and remove them.

Armadillo Removal

Armadillos present little danger to people. The greatest danger they pose is to your landscaping. Controlling the animal can protect your lawn and garden and the integrity of structures like decks and driveways on your property.

Trapping an armadillo takes skill and experience. Habitat modification and exclusions are extremely effective in removing armadillos from your lawn. Water your garden beds in the morning because armadillos prefer loose soil. Armadillos are nocturnal, and the soil will have dried out by the mid-afternoon.

Squirrel Removal

The most common squirrel to invade your attic in Fort Worth is the Fox Squirrel. Squirrels are active during the day so you might hear squealing, running, or gnawing early in the morning. If you hear those noises at night, you might have flying squirrels. Smaller than a tree squirrel, flying squirrels are nocturnal.

Squirrels’ teeth never stop growing so they constantly gnaw and chew damaging attic insulation, fraying electrical wire, and destroying house structures.

To effectively remove squirrels, the wildlife technician will employ a variety of tactics such as live trapping, one-way doors, deterrents, and direct capture.

Wasp Control

Wasps, yellow jackets, hornets, cicada killers, or bees can ruin your outdoor experience. Bee hive and wasp nest removal can protect you, your family, and your pets from getting stung.

There are several types of bees and stinging insects in Fort Worth. The most common are European honeybees, bumblebees, Africanized bees, and ground bees. Typically, bees and wasps will only sting if their hive is threatened.

The entire hive must be removed. An old hive left in your home could attract a new colony or attract other animals. The hive area must be sanitized to remove any honey. Otherwise, leftover honey could attract other pests, including ants, cockroaches, rats, or raccoons.

Gopher and Mole Removal

Gophers and moles are typically confused with one another. Both animals dig extensive burrows. The easiest way to tell the difference is to observe the mounds. Gopher mounds are shaped like a volcano and have a plug at the entrance.

Gopher control is most effective during spring and fall when gophers are most active near the surface. Activity is usually indicated by fresh mounds of soil. Time, energy, and resources can be wasted by trying to control gophers and moles in an unoccupied burrow. The best way to get rid of moles is by trapping.  Baiting and trapping are the most practical and efficient gopher control methods.

Dear Trutech, yesterday happened just like you promised! You had told me that if I saw a snake on our property again to call you any day or any time because that’s the best time to catch them – that is, soon after they’re spotted. You sent Alfred Burns right away and Nick Yohn, D.M. arrived, shortly thereafter. Removing that 65″ snake from our yard was a great relief for my wife and me. You have kept every promise you’ve made and you have provided great customer service at every step.

Life happens, right? Had a mix-up on my routine bi-monthly scheduled service and got skipped. There's no need to complain when things go right but the response when something goes wrong says a lot, maybe more, about a company's real customer appreciation. I contacted Trutech's customer service and was immediately helped, a yard service was completed in the next couple of days at my convenience and at no charge, and too, all without any negative attitude, etc. I'm already a long-time customer and plan to remain so.

Trutech drove a raccoon out of my attic & sealed several openings shut. They cleaned up the droppings. They trapped an armadillo & her offsprings left. Then Trutech drove stakes in the ground beside my fence to shut off their passage. All their efforts have paid off because the wildlife has not returned.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no one-size-fits-all solution; each job requires a custom approach. We inspect every home and build a custom plan to resolve any wildlife problems. We use a variety of techniques including cage traps, direct capture, one-way valves,  and deterrents. Exclusion techniques are the most effective way to get rid of animals.

We provide customized solutions to each individual customer so that we may solve the issue as quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively as possible. The size of the house, type of animal, number of nuisance animals, and length of time of infestation affect the estimated price of wildlife removal.

An estimate may change based on the amount of animal activity or work needed to be done. All estimates are finalized with an exact price before any work begins.

Our goal is to remove any wildlife as humanely as possible — often that means catching and releasing the animal.

Trutech® does not hire subcontractors for animal removal services. We employ expert technicians who are provided ongoing education and training in all aspects of animal control and removal. Many of our technicians hold degrees in Wildlife Biology, Entomology (insects), Ornithology (birds) or Herpetology (reptiles), some with Masters degrees in their specialty field.

Yes! We are licensed and insured.

We start by first removing the wildlife on your property, and cleaning up any damage. From there we’ll work with you to create a customized prevention plan so you won’t have the same issue again.

Typically an animal dies in your home because it became trapped in a hard-to-reach and hidden area. Our expert technicians have the experience and knowledge to find it and then safely remove the carcass from your home.

Our Wildlife Technicians use a pet-safe odor eliminator made of natural organisms and enzymes that consume decaying organic odor-causing matter, eliminating the source of the lingering odor. We use aerosols, oxidizing agents, foggers, and disinfectants with germicides to deodorize until nature completes this task for you.

You should consider a full home exclusion after the smell has been neutralized. Nuisance wildlife found its way into your house once. That entrance leaves your home vulnerable to future animal infestations. Full home exclusions are the most effective form of wildlife control.
